RUSTIC RIVER YURT Alberta, Canada

Who wouldn’t want to stay in a cozy Yurt along a babbling brook in Canada? Talk about off grid! This little gem is located along Bragg Creek in Alberta, Canada, a 50 minute drive from the Calgary International airport. The reviews boast a peaceful stay equipped with everything you’ll need from camp kitchen supplies to games, to portable lanterns! All you’d need is a good book and a fishing rod and you’re set for an unforgettable adventure connecting to nature!
PITCAIRN ISLAND The edge of the world

Are you an adventurer that seeks a truly remote horizon? Then Pitcairn is your Mt Everest! This Southern Pacific Island is situated 2100km southeast of Tahiti, and is considered one of the most remote areas in the world. In fact, it is the only Island group in the world to be a designated an International Dark Sky Sanctuary! Pitcairn has about 50 remaining islanders inhabiting the Island, all in which are direct descendants from the European settlers from the HMS Bounty , which settled in 1790. They are rumored to be viciously prideful of their slice of heaven, and all too eager to share it’s rich history with their guests! Accommodations range in choice between 12 of these residents’ homes, some shared, some private. But the best part? GETTING THERE! There are a few ways to get to Pitcairn Island, and they all involve a considerable time at sea. There are a few cruise ships that make scheduled stops, but if you’d like to stay on the Island you would have to charter a yacht or private vessel, or booking a Berth on the SILVER SUPPORTER, the shipping supply freighter that visits the island a couple of times a month. How’s THAT for an ADVENTURE!?

ALASKAN WOLF RIDGE CABIN Seward, Alaska

This remote cabin would be the host for an amazing Alaskan adventure! Located in Resurrection Bay, Alaska, the property is only accessible by boat or helicopter ride. Once you arrive, the adventure is not over, for it’s a 20 minute steep climb up to a cozy, hand built cabin that awaits! Your rental includes a fleet of kayaks and stand up paddle boards to provide front row viewing for whales, otters and sea lions! What are you waiting for!?
BUNGALOW ON LAKE BOSWORTH Snohomish County, WA

At the risk of giving this one way, I mention the incomparable Lake Bosworth. This sleepy lake town lies about an hour north of Seattle, yet feels worlds away from a big city. We stayed in this rental in October of 2020 and woke up to the most perfect mist-off-the lake vibes! The cabin itself is well equipped with everything you need for a quiet Lake vacation, including fishing rods and paddle boat! The fenced in yard was perfect for our pup to run all day, and we spent evenings by the fire lakeside. My son pulled trout after trout out of the lake, while my daughter attempted to rip through the extensive DVD collection in the bedroom. EVERYONE was happy!
Nearby places of interest: LAKE ROESIGER STORE for bait and souvenir tee shirts, THE OLD ROBE TRAIL for a beautiful hike and DOWNTOWN SNOHOMISH for boutique shopping, and lunch in a quaint town.
